Textile, which could be materials of stage settings, properties, and costume, have been a part of our ancestors` life based on the lst capacity like the function of cloth. It was found out to make of textile in the field of agriculture and folk customs. Textile is also used in dancing art as a mediation to show a realistic expression. The results of the study which involved making use of textile matched with each peculiarities, are as followed: And these aer centered around three types of stage setting which were mainly used in dancing arts. The first type malting use of textile in stage setting is to hand down or attach to veil or wall it could be divided, according to attribute of textile, into opaque textile, and scenery curtain for making story. The second type is to hand down to floor, it is mainly used to express the stage floor where dramatical situation was held by the image in accordance with the choreography. The third type is to set up textile on the floor,and it is the oldest type. It is fixed type to show various dye. Through numerous interviews with setting designers and choreographer, the cloth setting has been playing a more important role than any other setting materials to communicate the image of the art, especially in korean dancing art. And due to the simplicity of preservation, scene change, and much better effectiveness for dancers` performance, it was widely adopted by many choreographers. According to this study, choreographers and stage designers shard their opinions sufficiently and receptively to increase the effect of the performances. And they said that stage setting should not be just stage setting itself but be coincided with the image of the art to make better effect.
