This paper discovers and characterizes research thematic areas connecting computing and human behavior over the last 28 years (1990-2017-July). 4771 journal articles published in the journal of computers in human behavior and indexed in Web of Science were retrieved and included in analysis. Analysis was made for the periods of 1990-2003, 2004-2010 and 2011-2017. We applied graph theory and bibliometric analysis methods for thematic discovery and characterization of research thematic areas over these periods. Author Defined Keywords were used as unit (concept) of analysis and their co-occurrences form a network metrics. Simple center clustering method is applied to cluster ADKs’ network to themes. Themes of research grew from three in the period of 1990-2003 to eleven in 2004-2010 and 34 in 2011-2017. We also discovered conceptual stability and thematic dynamism over the periods to show the paradigm shifts in the emphasis of research themes. We could successfully discover and characterized research thematic areas in this domain, which revolve around how elements of human behavior affect technology perception, adoption, acceptance, interaction and use. The role of technology in changing human behavior, and consequential impacts on individual and social well-being were also among the themes discovered.
