In this study, the purpose is to assess the life cycle evaluation of buried pipe line according to corrosion rate and second is analyzing the properties of long-term used pipe-line. In order to calculate the life cycle based on corrosion rate, we examined the model equation applying corrosion rate. And we calculated the life cycle through theoretical and observational methods.
Additionally, in order to analyze the property of long term used the pipe-line, we used the practical pipeswhichwere buried during 7years to 30years.We analyzed the piping coupon by obtained through routine inspection or precision safety diagnosis fromthe actual pipe line since have been buried 1984 to 2002. Through this study, the theoretical prediction and observational prediction of pipe-linewere possible and the regional environment properties also were analyzed by using long term practical used pipe lines. And through these data, we analyzed the regional and periodic properties as like appearance test, mechanical test and variation of external diameters and finally we could lead to the factors which gave the impact to life cycle of pipe-line in Ulsan district.
