Report Errors
Despite the increase of Korean Studies in Chinese universities and research institutes, there is a lack of studies that comprehensively analyze the status and accomplishments of Korea-China comparative studies. Since the 21st century, there is no information on what areas and approaches are drawing attention within the field of Korean Studies in China.
Korea-China comparative studies in China is a measure for understanding how Chinese society views Korea-China relations. Furthermore, from Korea’s standpoint, analysis of researches in China offers insight into China"s historical view, political viewpoint, and perception of Korea.
Therefore, this study aims to focus on the following three aspects to examine the status and characteristics of Korea-China comparative studies in China.
First, what are the quantitative trends and research status by major in the Korea-China comparative studies in China?
Second, which areas in the Korea-China comparative studies are drawing attention in China?
Third, what are the political, economic and cultural perspectives and characteristics of the Korea-China comparative studies in China?
Findings from this study will provide deeper understanding on what the interests are in the field of Korean Studies in China, how Korea-China comparative study is developing in China and how Korea should respond to these trends.
