In the present study, high-resolution and high-definition images of 1㎝ class ground sampling distance(GSD) were acquired with a lens-interchangeable mirrorless-camera and a zoom lens mounted on a rotary wing unmanned aerial vehicle, and the accuracy of aerial triangulation was evaluated. For this purpose, aerial photographing was performed by controlling flight altitude, flight speed, camera exposure time, aperture and focusing, and GNSS static survey was conducted for ground control points and checkpoints. One flight was conducted at each 35㎜ and 50㎜ principal distance in the area of about 139,000㎡, and more than 550 images of GSD 1.28㎝, 90% overlap, and 50% sidelap were obtained respectively. The root mean square error for the 6 checkpoints was 1.6㎝ horizontally and 4.6㎝ vertically for the 35㎜, and 1.4㎝ horizontally and 2.3㎝ vertically for the 50㎜. In conclusion, it was found that it is advantageous to shoot at higher altitude using a lens of long principal distance for accurate aerial triangulation. Also, it is necessary to comprehensively consider flight altitude which affects GSD, aperture which affects image sharpness, flight speed and exposure time related to image blur.
