Recently, an environment color planning in a region landscape is emphasized the importance of an active participation of local residents. The purpose of this study is to prove a improvement methods and the effectiveness through a Post Occupancy Evaluation(POE) and satisfaction understanding. A target area case study of environment color planning of a rural village is Seoha-ri, Gwangju-city, Gyeonggi Province that was rural village of environment color planning considered of Improved environment color with resident participation. A methods of this study is as follows. Identify the direction of the environment color design of resident participation through the analysis of the review of literature and the plan characteristic. Next, a environment color planning was conducted by the participatory type in the rural village and analyzing improvement factor, image change of a environmental color to the improvement plan participants, and satisfaction degree to understand through a POE. As a result of this study are as follows. First, identify environment color improvement in a rural village and a residents satisfaction is cleared an increase tendency. Second, the possibility of a sustainable development and a management is also get higher, and established a color environment with harmonized landscape, amenity, openness, and the identity for a rural village. We hope this study will contribute to the development of the environment color improvement for the residents of rural areas.
