With advanced techniques in information and communication technology(ICT) and smart technology, our daily life style has been changing very quickly. In the current information-based society, the disabled can also have a right to enjoy benefits of advanced technologies. However, owing to a barrier called digital divide, the disabled have some difficulty to communicate to the world. We should support the disabled so that they can know and use those advanced techniques.
Recently there have been some works to close digital divide. As ratio of possession of smart devices for the disabled is increased, improvement of smart application accessibility becomes an important issue for disabled. The purpose of this paper is to present some practical guidelines for improving smart application accessibility for the disabled. Our improvement guidelines are developed based on the existing smart application accessibility guideline and modify them for more adaptable to the disabled. Our principles are based on the following philosophy. First, minimize the physical movement. Second, provide prompt feedback. Third, provide various help menu.
