Four-Character Form, the syntactic features of which is not always well explained in Chinese teaching, is one of the difficulties for students of mid-high level. This thesis focuses on the syntactic features of 128 four-character-form words which are the most popular in HSK. They are firstly divided in to 4 types according to their nature: 75 verbs, 40 adjectives, 6 nouns, 7adverbs. When they are compared to those regular verbs, adjectives, nouns and adverbs, some differences are found. After the analysis on 12800 sentences with those 128 four-character-form words in CCL, the most typical syntactic features came out. This research might be helpful for the teaching and further research of four-character-form Chinese words.
