Report Errors
It is developing a staged combustion cycle engine that has higher ISP than an open cycle gas generator type rocket. The test demonstration model of the staged combustion cycle engine was designed and assembled to evaluate the perfromance of the preburner and the turbo pump. In order to efficiently deploy the engine components, the turbo pump is installed vertically in the longitudinal direction and mounted on a ground cell test stand of the upper-stage engine test facility used for the development the KSLV-II. After the power pack test, the venturi tube is removed and the combustion is installed to test the staged combustion cycle engine.
