The purpose of this study is to verify the sensitivity level of perception towards match-fixing behaviors. The study specifically did the research on the sensitivity level of athletes, and domestic and overseas sports researchers. The study tried to verify if there are differences to the perception sensitivity according to the group people belong to. To achieve the purpose this study, data was collected from 255 athletes, 67 domestic researchers, and from 71 overseas researchers, which is in total of 355 participants. The concept of rasch model and differential item functioning of item response theory(irt) was applied, and IBM SPSS 21.0, Facets 3.67.1 and Winsteps 3.65.0 were used to analyze the data. The study results are as follows. First, both the athletes and domestic and overseas researchers were sensitive to ‘intentional arrangements’, however, they were insensitive to ‘intentional omission’ match-fixing behaviors. Second, perception sensitivity level showed differences between athletes and domestic researchers, and between athletes and overseas researchers, however, showed no differences between domestic and overseas researchers. It turned out that domestic researcher group was the most sensitive to match-fixing behaviors and athletes were relatively insensitive to match-fixing. The result of this study will be used as basic information in various sports field of education and politics to for better understanding of match-fixing.
