The objective of this work is to design and develop a personal health record storage and display system, specifically for hemodialysis kidney disease patients. However, the system in this project can be extended to cover the personal health records of other diseases with a slight modification. This work uses Apache HBASE as the main data storage. The client application is developed using AngularJS and Bootstrap. The front-end design is focusing on the display which can adapt to various devices such as personal computers, mobile smart phones and tablets. The row key is designed such that the data from the same user be located close to each other even the data are collected from other devices such as mobile applications. The graphic user interface is designed such that the user can customize his/her dashboard and displays. The proposed system is planned to be evaluated by two hemodialysis kidney disease patients.
