Report Errors
This study on the works of Korean poetry from the mid to late 1930s sought the true poetic creative ways. Current view from the perspective of a past time as a negative ‘tradition’, and ‘history’ fraught with possibilities of the future. It focuses the tendency on temporalizing of space and the people who was expelled from their home. Even though the a poetic narrator is embodied in the singular, he(or she) has to be defined as the plural, the expanded subject. By creating ‘another home’ in varied aspect, Korean poetry from the mid to late 1930s make a new ‘home―which was in the past―’ in present. And this new home connotes the possibility of future and eternity. This study regards this tendency of poetic creation of home as the way of poet’s response to era.
