This article is to examine the relationship between social movements and information society in a some different perspective and to analyse NGOs of Korea influenced by information society. Contemporary societies are informed-based and social movements have changed along with a new social context. It is said that social movements are activated by information society, because social movements are central to the dynamics of information societies. Information societies are more fluid than those of the past and induce people to join social movements by network system provided by a new social environment. So it is thought that social movements of information society are participatory and network movements. Korea has also entered a post-industrial phase, information society. We supposed that NGOs would be connected between local NGOs as network organizations and be places to get in on the voluntary act. However, as a result, it is somewhat insufficient to satisfy their activity and function of NGOs on the basis of information society. Even though social context has transform, NGOs in Korea showed that they could not keep up with a new social environments as information society.
