Report Errors
The purpose of this paper was 1) to investigate the change of income and consumption structure of elderly households, and 2) to explore the perceived economic of elderly households in Korea. Data of 2003~2014 from National Statistics Office and data of focus group interview were utilized to analyze the elderly households.
Results showed that the real income of elderly households increased during 2003~2014 a little, however the growing rate was lower comparing to non-elderly households. Income distribution was also the most unequal among the elderly households. On the other hand, APC of elderly has decreased dramatically on the sale period because of longevity risk. Few implications for policy to support elderly households were suggested
