The purpose of this paper is to analysis on the effect of school-related stress to multi-cultural adolescent’s fear of crime. The Survey polled the 300 the multi-cultural adolescents in Gyeonggi Province, 258 of which replied.
Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, t-test and Multiple regression analysis by a statistical package, SPSS for windows(release 18.0) were used to analyze each variable. In this paper, Independent variables were categorized into three groups of school-related stress. Dependent variable was one factor(fear of crime). and Control variables such as age, economic level were socio-demographic characteristics of multi-cultural adolescent.
The followings are the results of statistical analyses. First, this study found a high correlation ‘friend-related stress’ and ‘teacher & school life-related stress’. Second, there were no differences on male and female adolescents in multi-cultural families about ‘school-related stress’ and fear of crime. but older adolescents can suffer from ‘friend-related stress’. Third, the higher adolescent in multi-cultural family cognitive ‘teacher & school life-related stress’, the greater they the level of fear of crime. Fourth, young adolescent have higher cognitive of fear of crime than old adolescent.
