This study used the empirical analysis of graduate students’ influences which bring differences of research productivity of researchers. Even though the procurement and the utilization of graduate students are critical, the inclusion of graduate students has not been treated as important until now. Against this backdrop, this paper focuses on whether the procurement and the utilization of graduate students is important for their supervisors’ research productivity, as the procurement of more talented graduate students makes more researches conducted. According to results, first of all, the level of research funding of male researchers were shown to be at statistically higher level compared to those of female researchers. For instance, male researchers were more funded in research cost compared to female researchers. Also, male researchers have more graduate students than females, and it is assumed that the impact of research funding factors which have focused on male researchers and the social tendency that males’ research output is more recognized are likely to be the reasons for the result. Secondly, capital-area researchers managed more graduate students. Thirdly, the levels of research funding are at the higher level in case of senior researchers than the case of junior researchers. Senior researchers have a larger size of graduate students. Lastly, the size of graduate students is found to be an important factor which causes the significant differences in the researcher’s productivity.
