It is meaningful to estimate which areas need to be promoted preferentially to prepare for the silver industry which is expected to increase and diversify rapidly. Thus, this study analyzed which areas were preferentially needed for our old-age life or planning through the survey of social welfare civil servants using AHP, based on the theoretical backgrounds of the types of silver industry. According to the study, assurance of pension and income was the most needed things for old-age life, and this represents the reality of relatively low income level of Korea`s old-age people. Assurance of personal pension system such as an old-age pension or various income guarantee insurance goods was important more than anything else for the comfortable life of old-age. Next needed was medical service and treatment, and this represents the poor or ineffective service of specialized medical and treatment, or facilities of Korea. Therefore, it seems to be desirable to consider these priorities when government is planning old-age welfare policy.
