The purpose of this thesis is to provide the characteristics of the value chain of the creative industry in Chungnam Province and present the current problems of the industrial development policies which best fits the value chain of the regional creative industry.
According to the analysis results, the manufacturing process of the creative industry value changing process was large in size compared to other businesses in Korea, and the degree of the specialization was relatively high compared to other value chains, the speed of the industry growth and industry structure changing speed was the fastest, it also showed that it had the highest competition and the job creation was the highest in Korea. However, when we analyzed the rest of the value chain, with the exception in the manufacturing process, the rest of the value chain process of the industry environment was poor. In general, the creative industry in the Chungnam accounts very low in the industry compared to other regions.
Therefore, the creative process which comes before the manufacturing process - which is the active process should be recognized as the core active process, in which requires cooperation and strategic application with related industry resources centering the emerging industry area. This will lead to a more secured growth foundation, then connected to mass production and distribution which is considered to create a virtuous cycle providing the best service to the customers thus creating a value added products.
