This study analyzed the data of 102 athletes who participated in National Sports festival in May, 2015 in order to investigate the gymnastics referee’s decision which female gymnasts perceive and moderating effects of exercise commitment in relation to intention to decide dropout. Questionnaires developed and used in previous studies were appropriately modified and supplemented as the measuring instrument in accordance with the research purposes and its validity and reliability was verified using the SPSS18.0 statistical program. Firstly, the results of the analysis of the difference by the group the ybelonged to showed that gymnasts in the adult and university division with a lot of exercise experience perceived a low level of exercise commitment, on the other hand gymnasts in middle school division a high level. Meanwhile, gymnasts in the university division perceived a high level of intention to decide dropout while those in the middle school division a low level. And, the results of the analysis of the correlation between measurement variables showed that referee’s decision had a positive(+) correlation with exercise commitment while referee’s decision and exercise commitment had a negative(-) correlation with intention to decide dropout. Finally, the results of the analysis of the moderating effects of exercise commitment showed that at high level of cognitive commitment and behavioral commitment, moderating effect to prevent intention to decide dropout was verified.
