Objective: The purpose of this study is to performance analysis of agricultural work safety project by the Rural Development Administration in Korea (RDA). Background: In the world, agricultural industry has been known to show high injury and illness rate and thus recognized as top three hazardous industries with mining and construction by ILO (International Labor Organization). The RDA has farming work safety project since 2006. The aim of this project is to improvement safety and health of famers. And it is based on the Improvement law of Quality of Life of agriculture forestry Fisheries Special Act. Method: We have analyzed Agricultural Safety Model Pilot Project and Agricultural Work Environment and Convenience Equipment Improvement Pilot Project; (1) project performance (2) satisfaction (3) satisfaction factors and (4) economic benefits. We also suggested improvement plan for the projects. Results: Agricultural Safety Model Pilot Project’s satisfaction score is 4.38, and Agricultural Work Environment and Convenience Equipment Improvement Pilot Project’s satisfaction score is 4.46. Major satisfaction factor of Agricultural Safety Model Pilot Project is performance factor, and Agricultural Work Environment and Convenience Equipment Improvement Pilot Project is Execution factor. Application: The results of this study might help to determine the policy of agriculture work safety project.
