The purpose of this study is to help that direction of technical development of loess material for construction and prediction of marketability for loess housing through awareness research and analysis of residential preference about loess housing. Specially, it is focused on citizens in Daegu city. According to this study, the best strength of loess housing is good quality of indoor air, but the biggest problem of loess housing is high cost for construction, and the second weakness is difficulty of maintenance and management of it. In the case of residential preference in loess housing people who have spouses prefer to live in a loess housing than people who don"t have, and people who had been lived in a idyllic house prefer to live in a loess housing than people who had not. And, men prefer to than women. Also, in the case of preference of construction of loess-mortar, people who have a family member of environmental disease patient, and had been lived in a idyllic house prefer to build than who don"t have. And, we can find out people who live in a detached house prefer to build loess mortar than who live in a multiplex housing or multi-unit dwelling house, too.
