The purpose of this study was to find housing aspiration and relations to the importance of ‘Urban-life Housing’ environment. Social survey research using questionnaire was conducted from November 13th to 27th, 100 questionnaires were collected from university students living in Seoul and Metropolitan area. SPSS PASW 18.0 program was used for statistical analysis.
Major findings were as follows : 1) privacy and security as a housing aspiration is the highest, but housing environment became worse and safety became decrease because of the partition coused by synaptic development to avoid current housing law. This showed the seriousness of the urban housing problem. 2) the most preferred tenureship was Chonsei and level of housing aspiration was increased in proportion to income. More economic and convenient studio type housing was needed for university students due to their low income. 3) distance to education and health care facilities were important. because these were essential facilities to daily life.
