Recently remodeling market attracts public attention as a new promising market while the domestic construction market slump lasts. Especially after the global financial debacle in 2008 housing market stagnates rapidly and construction companies are becoming aware of apartment house remodeling market.
It is expected to be converted from new homes-oriented into maintenance and managing, remodeling of existing building gradually because of the potential growth depression of the economy and dramatic demographic changes that in Korea construction market of the 2010s. And in case of the developed countries, it is tend to show the demands of remodeling are increasing while GDP is already hitting 20 thousand dollars. Now Korea reach the point.
While existing remodeling of domestic apartment buildings are wet system, the residents of the buildings are required to move to other places during the construction decades and existing building are damaged frequently because of various architectural equipments and wastes. Generally moving-house decades eighteen months which is long period during the extension remodeling construction. Modular system which built over 60~80% off-site and under 20% on-site can be the solution of decrease the moving-house decades by a lot and if the modular system applies to extension work and remodeling, the utilization value will be maximized. On this study, we will show the customized remodeling technology to improve the building performance throughout the prefabricated construction for the vertical and horizontal extension work of apartment building.
