The purpose of this study was to investigate young people’s recognition about SHift Housing project. Social survey research with questionnaire was conducted among career starting persons who lived in Seoul city. 205 data were collected from October 14 to November 2, 2013. Frequency percentage and t-test were used with SPSS statistics 21.0.
Major findings were as follows, 1) Many respondents thought the house as livable object rather than investment. But their recognition level was intermediate and they had negative recognition about rental apartment. 2) In social aspect, intimacy with neighbor was low level which means thinking about neighbor was negative. And rationality of interior was low level. 3) Willingness to move in SHift was relatively low level. Major intention of moving to SHift was economic reason.
In conclusion, if various promotion and quality control for SHift Housing project, recognition about housing for livability might be changed among career starting persons.
