The purpose of this study was to provide the basic information about acceptable public housing policy by the career starting persons’ awareness and preferences. Social survey research using questionnaire was conducted among career starting persons living in Seoul metropolitan area. 220 questionnaires were distributed from October 17<SUP>st</SUP> to 30<SUP>th</SUP>, 2013 and among them 200 data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 program using frequency and cross-tabulation.
Major findings were as follows : 1) Most of the people were aware the house as residential purposes than investment assets. 2) As a function of public rental housing, ‘stabilize the housing market’, ‘house for the actual customer’ and ‘house in the process of home ownership’ were positive aspects. But they had negative perceptions about quality of living environment in public rental housing.
In conclusion, it is necessary to supply public rental housing with considering economic feasibility of career starting persons" quality of housing environment.
