Urban decline is spreading rapidly around the local mid and small cities that has weak competitiveness. It has been considered to reduce the satisfaction with life of residents who lives in decline cities. In the previous literature, it has been discussed that city plans to overcome the decline three sectors - physical, social, economic. But, they did not reveal a clear effect on the satisfaction with life of residents living in decline cities. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate corelation between urban decline and satisfaction with life of residents using the Korean Labor & Income Panel Study. The results shows not different overall satisfaction with life between decline cities and non-decline cities. But, satisfaction with life of residents in each parts is affected by the decline types.
