Media art, a field that combines cutting-edge science, media technology, and art, has been highlighted as an art in which bidirectional communication between audience and product is possible, because not only can it be expressed in a diverse way without being confined to static knowledge or to a certain format, but it can also induce the audience to actively participate. A recent trend in media art is that the field is expanding to the N-screen environment due to the development of information communication technology. Technical optimization of multimedia content(image, sound, text, video, etc.) according to this trend is believed to increase product quality in media art and effectively encourage active communication with the audience. To meet this need, in this study we analyze previous research on the enhancement of object recognition and suggest a technological methodology. We believe that this study will provide guidance in developing a processing system that can extract an optimized thickness of outlines and apply it to objects in media art through iterative computations of dilation and erosion, for the enhancement of object recognition.
