This study aims at seeking the cardinal direction of syntax education and textbook development. Syntax education must be performed according to the national curriculum and objectives of education. In this regard, some contents, that is, particles, endings etc. need to be complemented to the curriculum. The actual stated of the government-authorized Korean language textbooks under the 2007 revised national curriculum show the way to desirable textbook development. There are various problems of syntactic topics in those textbooks, especially middle school textbooks. Some contents of textbooks contradicted each other, some contents are too difficult to teach school. This means that the effective ways to describe Korean grammar of the textbooks are necessary to be sought. So, the author of textbook grammar must interpret the meaning of the national curriculum actively, and he must try to write on the typical topics and examples. Furthermore, the basic contents of grammar description need to be consistent with those of other textbooks.
