The main purpose of this research is to investigate how the symbolic colors of corporations, which are well represented on their websites, are related to enhance the credibility and familiarity of the corporations. As the scale of websites is growing, the flow of information, the design trends of the contents, and the relationship with the users are going to be even more important. In a diverse online environment, it is important that the banks, which consider security first, could give online banking services with confidence to financial consumers as the recognized bank in the offline services. The symbolic color, which represents the company`s philosophy and goals to succeed, plays an important role in a link between the main color of the website in the online services and the representative color of the company in the offline services. It could be more visible to the public and could be accessed more comfortably and reliably by customers, if the symbolic color is adopted well into the web environments. When the same image color of the bank is maintained on the website, it will succeed in identifying the brand thereby making customers feel the same sense of security they felt with offline banks to the online business. Color is one of the criteria in distinguishing corporations, so such color can be found in the symbol that represents the corporation. If the main color of the website is the symbolic color of the corporations, customers will feel confident and familiar with the. Therefore, in this research, twelve domestic and foreign banks were selected as samples and the colors of the symbols that represent the banks were analyzed. Main colors were extracted from the websites of the banks and the definitude of the identity was analyzed in the cases of the well-selected symbolic colors and vice versa. This research also suggested that the identity of the corporation could be recognized only by the color of the website through correlating the main color of the website and the symbolic color of the company, provided however, that the color that represents the corporation was chosen well.
