This study of history in Korea traditional dyeing technique, specially its origin and path of import, could prove the evidence that korea had own direct culture trade path with India, exclusion of China`s influence. For this hypothesis, this thesis focuses on finding out in common part between Korea`s traditional dyeing technique and India`s, and also tracing these common part through several left evidence in cultural properties. With this research, I`d like to prove the fact the direct trade history with India in around year of A. D 100. I tried with two way of approach for conclusion to solve these difficult matters. First, I analyze the influence from India to Korea with a common point of two ancient county`s trace. I compared and tried to find a relation with Korean traditional fabric finishing technique "da-dum-geal" and ancient India`s beating technique for fabric finishing. Additionally, I, also, compared the using method of mordant technique of India and Korea such as its type, an use and the hue of mordant for cotton dyeing. It could be the first step for its using period, place, and influence from where to where. Second, I investigated the cultural flows and its routine from ancient trade crane. In the basic of three state`s historical circumstances and trade routine, I tried to come up with conclusion with trace of trade routine for western. Ever since, silk road had opened, world trade route activated, and make trade possible from Three States to India through north of China. At the same period, the new maritime route had opened and it connected China sea and Bengal sea. It took a role of culture passage from Korea to Persian in this time. These circumstance could naturally glow cultural exchanges between Korea and India, and it give a big influence for development of Korea tradition dyeing technique. Its evidence rest a few still even, now. I came up with the conclusion of my thesis by comparing these traces in terms of history`s point of view.
