The purpose of this study is to develop cultural products which are inspired from the images of butterflies and the symbol of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival for promoting a cultural tourism festival. For this purpose, this study is carried out a market survey of cultural products and evaluate the consumers who attended the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival. The subjects of consumer research were selected through convenient sampling technique. Finally, 119 questionnaire were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows; First, results of market survey showed that most of the cultural products of butterfly design sold in market were not discriminated against from those of general products, except some character dolls and mobile accessories. Second, the results of the purchasing conditions and preference of the cultural products were as follows: The respondents of the research answered that almost the half people of the respondents purchased cultural products and most of them bought dolls. Concerning the attributes regarded as important when purchasing cultural products were `It has good quality`, `It can be bought in this festival` and `The product is unique or one of a kind`. The favored cultural product items were dolls and T-shirts. Third, Based on the above results, 2 dolls and 2 T-shirts were designed for the cultural products of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival.
