The subject of this study is how to make effective empirical study about relation that size and Format of outdoor signboards gets to clutter and city identity from public design dimension. Purpose of this study is looking for solution method about relation that size and Format of outdoor signboards gets to clutter and city identity damage constituent. Therefore, the study examines that width type outdoor signboards large size appear clutter high more than small size? and three-dimensional letter type outdoor signboards appear clutter low than board type outdoor signboards? and What about difference that width type outdoor signboards large size and clutter by Format are meaning about effect that reach positively to city identity? and also means that three-dimensional letter type outdoor signboards same size searches than width type outdoor signboards that size looks may small, and there is the purpose to grope solution method about problem in public design dimension. The results of the study summarizes like this: First, width type outdoor signboards large size more than small size clutter high appear. Secondly, three-dimensional letter type outdoor signboards appeared clutter low more than board type outdoor signboards. Finally, the effect that width type outdoor signboards large size gets to city identity more than small size appeared positively and three-dimensional letter type outdoor signboards gets to city identity more than width type outdoor signboards appeared positively. Therefore even if outdoor three-dimensional letter type signboards is same size, signboards looked smaller than outdoor width type signboards.
