The thesis statement for this dissertation is to address three issues in the digital visual images. First is to describe the definition of view in the digital era and how the meaning has been changed from the visual artists perspective. Second is to explain how these digital images affect people in the walks of viewers lives. And finally third to show visual artists social role in the digital era through whom the various digital images are created. After information age arrived to viewers lives along with digital technology development, it not only changed our life style but also social phenomena in general. One of those social phenomenon is the provision of various images with high tech digital images through different types of media. These constantly developing digital images in the aid of state of art technology give abundant information to us with or without viewers will. These images either alter our different senses and traditions embedded in us, and sometimes viewers are ruled by the illusive digital images. These fast changing images have made viewers lives comfortable and convenient, however they have also brought us some bad affects. One of the most eminent social problems is dehumanization. Insufficient objective digital technology bore social problems such as destroy of trust between humans, disharmony and huge gap between generations and the disappearance of our tradition These are caused directly from creation of reckless images which affect viewers lives without proper filtering process. Furthermore, these artificial digital images produced for commercial means are much more modified and imaginative that innocent viewer are confused between virtual and real world. In other words, these phenomena have been possible because of the advanced digital technology and thus digital viewers` eyes are disturbed and confused. Therefore, not only had these advanced digital technology have been given us various experiences, but also have left viewers with toxication of the images. Thus meaning of to see in the digital era have become more vague and multiplied. Furthermore the old traditional meaning of to see is to believe also started to fade away. Then what is the solution of the above mentioned social side affect? The visual designer should understand the current social situation and to develop prudent and conscious art images and thus establish genuine visual culture. 21st century assignment for visual image artists is to make human recover from dehumanization rather than producing irresponsible yet imaginative digital images which only stimulate viewers senses for the commercial purpose, visual artists should create images in which humanized nature breathes in so that it truly appeals to human heart. In our next cultural era, followed by information ear, visual designers role will be more important and crucial. We visual designers should create responsible images touching viewers emotions, respecting their dignity so that social values in our society are maintained and humanism is alive.
