The Study of Motivational Factors for the Risk-taking Propensity: Focus on IT service industry of promotion and prevention focus influences the nature and magnitude of their emotional reactions to success and failure. We have attempted to demonstrate that individual regulatory focus in a firm, as well as the relationship between their regulatory focus and risk-taking propensity. Promotion focus as the concept that striving to maximize gains, suggested the increase in revenue and process improvement. In addition, prevention focus, which attempting to minimize shortfall as a loss, suggested cost reduction in this study. As the motive of regulatory focus stronger, aggressive decision making and risk-taking propensity stronger. This study reveals the motivational factors as the profits growth, process improvements and cost-reduction, And these decision-makers aggressive investment attitude compose risk-taking propensity. The results of this study proves the causality of precedence`s risk-taking propensity, and contributing to the practitioner from precent the specific motivating criteria for risk-taking decision making. and also contributing the understand of risk-taking by investigating the concept of regulatory focus in the risk taking propensity, which was not considered in organizational level.
