The objectives of this study are to define technical service and to identify its sub-constructs, and to test empirically its effects on the relationship quality between supplier and buyer. The technical service is assorted into three sub-constructs through comprehensive literature reviews; before-sales service, on-sales service, after-sales service. Also, the measurement items of each sub-construct were abstracted from literatures, such as technical product services, product service, customer care, full-service, services for manufacturing companies, etc. The results show that three sub-constructs of technical service have positive effects on relationship quality, and that partner`s attitudes have moderating effects on relations between technical service and relationship quality. This implies that firms have to choose the suitable technical service strategy for their specific situation.
