This study empirically examined not only the structural relationship among work-family conflict, role identity, job stress, turnover intention and customer orientation, but also the moderating roles of marital status and perceived organizational support in a hospital segment. Data were collected from 291 dietitians who have worked at 50 hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The results shows that work-family conflict had a positive effect on role identity. Work-family conflict had a positive effect on job stress. Job stress had a negative effect on customer orientation. Turnover intention had a negative effect on customer orientation. The moderating effect of marital status between work-family conflict and job stress on was significantly apparent and between turnover intention and customer orientation was significantly apparent. The moderating effect of perceived organizational support between turnover intention and customer orientation on was significantly apparent. Limitations and future research directions were also discussed.
