Serologic group A arboviroses, Eastern and Western equine encephalitis viruses, were inoculated on the esta.blished Singhs mosquito (Aedes albopictus) cell lines and then incubated under various temperature, at the 25C, 28C and 33C. Both virus multiplicity was determined by LD, from the mortality of inoculated mice (50% of lethal dose in mice I.c). On the other hand, morphorlogical change of the infected cells was observed during this incubation periods and also viral antigenic development was studied by immunofluorescent techniques. The results were summarized as follows: 1. It has been shown that EEE virus was rapidly multiplified on the mosquito cell lines. The maximum titer of virus 10 was reached on 6th day at 25C; 10 on 3rd and 2nd at 28C; 10 on 6th at 33C respectively. 2. Western equine encephalitis virus, uniforrnly grew to high titer on Aedes albopictus mosquito cell lines except under 25C. The maximurn titer of virus 10 on 2nd at 33C. 3. Cytopathic effect was not observed in both virus infectve cells but morphological changes were conformed on the whole monolayer from the second post infective day and abnormal cells aggregates were abserved thereafter. 4. Specific immunofluorescent antigens were found in the cytoplasm of the mosquito cells in 36 hours of EEE virus and on 3rd day of WEE virus following inoculation of each virus and more increases of such FA antigen were observed through-out the cytoplasm of the cells on 6th day.
