This study has examined desirable ways of SNS encouraging young voters’ political participations whose political distrust and apathy reached hazardous level. The results confirmed that voters’ uses of SNS showed positive impact on their degrees of political participation. The results also showed that there existed interaction effects between levels of SNS uses and age groups regarding the influence upon political participations. The most interesting finding was that young voters holding lower uses of SNS showed more degrees of political participation than those holding higher uses. Finally, the result of logistic regression analysis concerning the actual voting in the 19th general election also showed that the higher the degrees of political participation and efficacy, the more possibility of participation in actual voting. Although old voters showed more degrees of actual voting compared to young voters, the analysis showed less consensus regarding the influencing effects of uses of SNS on actual voting behaviors.
