Through the lyrics analysis and type classification, this paper aims to grasp the meaning of buckwheat song. Compared to Tobacco song, we can make the feature of the this song clear. Type 1 of the buckwheat song described sowing, buckwheat growth, harvest, thresh, cooking food gradually. This contents are the basic form of the buckwheat song. By singing buckwheat song, singers get autosuggestion which doing well family affairs. Self-respect pride affect the motive of singing on the national scale.
Type 2 of the buckwheat song consist of buckwheat farming, prepare buckwheat noodles and meal recommendation. When singers sing prepare food part, they make use of personification, hyperbole and portrayal. In meal recommendation and reject part, singers desire to reinforce enjoyment. Narrator of the type 1 and type 2 get shown as a diligent farmer.
