Last century Christian theology had witnessed the emergence of various theological movements along with new experiments in theological method. Of them, this article discusses one of the most influential attempts: Paul Tillich`s method of correlation. Its primary question is whether it has an enduring significance even in the new century. I will first analyze Tillich`s method of correlation and then bring it into critical dialogues with three contemporary theological movements: post-liberal theology, hermeneutical theology, and liberation theology. In these dialogues, I will argue, Tillich`s method of correlation demonstrates its continuing validity, not just because it has a great potential of application to many different contexts, but also because it continues to bring critical insights to other theological movements.
