Nowadays we can feel a decreasing trend of Christianity in the post-modern society. Analytical Psychologist C.G.Jung wanted to find the reason in the difference between the image of God which the Christian church presents and the contemporaries want to be in the unconscious. In short, it becomes difficult for them to believe the redemption of Jesus Christ and the Summum Bonum of God on which the Christian dogma insists and they are eager to find another image of God they can experience. All the while the Christian church proclaims the importance of the belief in the dogma not giving them the way for the experience. C.G.Jung thought that it is time for the ancient image of God to be changed as it is not relevant for the post-modern human beings. So they suffered much from the split in that difference. Jung verified it with the neurotics as the centre of the mandala in their dream image and they lost their centre of life. Here, we do not forget that Jung did not say about the God of metaphysics but the image of God which human beings think he would be. For Jung the faith is very important for the believers as it leads them to the Godhead and the self archetype which is the totality of the human psyche. He said that the image of God continued to be changed from the animal gods to the monotheistic God. And he thought that it is the image of God with which the believers lead a religious life. Therefore, if there is any split in the image of God between that which the Christian church presents and the believers want unconsciously, they are likely to run risks. Finally he insisted on the importance of the continuing incarnation, for the contemporaries, which Jesus Christ did once for all, and not merely beg their petitions or project their psychological factors to the image of God.
