This study conducted a survey with 192 students attending in college at J University in Chungnam from freshmen to seniors and statistically treated collected questionnaires with descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis based on the SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Conceived to investigate the effects of the stress and health status level on adaptation to college life among college students, the study obtained the following analysis results: First, as for the sociodemographic characteristics of college students, there were more men than women; the juniors accounted for the biggest portion; and the college of tourism and health had the most students. Most students participated in religion, lived alone, and thought their economic level was “middle.” Second, the college students scored mean 0.78 points in frequency of stress on a scale of 0~3 and mean 1.41 points in importance of stress. Their health status level was low. Their adaptation to college life was average. Third, of the general characteristics of college students, the health status level had the biggest impacts on their adaptation to college life, being followed by frequency of stress and importance of stress in the order.
