The purpose of this study was to examine the mediated effect of leisure satisfaction and its relevant relationship with self-acknowledgement and psychological happiness of university students, based on participation of health education. The participants was selected from students who were participating in health education courses in four universities located in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong region. This research was conducted by using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, along with structural equation model (SEM). First, following correlation was shown from participating university students: appearance with health and happiness with confidence of positive correlation, physical activities with happiness of negative correlation, muscular strength with confidence of positive correlation, and sports capability with happiness of negative correlation but with confidence of positive correlation. Happiness and confidence have shown positive correlation with external satisfaction. Also, sports capability has shown positive correlation with external satisfaction. Second, following correlation was shown from non-participating university students appearance and health with happiness and confidence of positive correlation, and sports capability with confidence of positive correlation. Happiness and confidence with external satisfaction have shown positive correlation, while sports capability with external satisfaction has shown negative correlation. Third, in the case of participating students, it was shown that appearance and health, along with muscular strength are indirectly and positively influencing the external satisfaction which is the sub factor of life satisfaction, along with psychological happiness. Fourth, in the case of non-participating students, it was shown that appearance and health indirectly and positively influencing external satisfaction, which was the sub factor of life satisfaction, along with psychological happiness.
