The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between personal attributes, athletic career, and retirement of professional soccer and baseball players in Korea. To achieve these goals, the researcher used the questionnaire that deal with the characteristics of players, the career of athlete, the attributes of retirement of players. The total sample size was 225. The professional soccer player was 125 and baseball players was 100, respectively. The statistic technique using this study was correlation test and chi square. These results was follow as such. First, professional players who married more prepared the retirement than the professional players who do not marry. Second, the professional players who had higher education were more prepared the retirement than the professional players who lower education. Third, the professional baseball player who got higher annual salary were more prepared the retirement than the player who got lower annual salary. Fourth, the professional soccer player had more retirement plan than the professional baseball players. Fifth, there was no significant relationship between the retirement plan, retirement counsellor, and post-retirement job.
