The purpose of this study was to compare and investigate the kinematic difference of the golf swing between the address and impact posture. For this study, four professional golfers were filmed by two 16mm photosonics cameras with a filming speed of 200 frames/second. The three dimensional cinematographical method was used and for the calculation of the kinematic variables a self developed program was used with the LabVIEW 5(Labortory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench) graphical programming(Johnson, 1999) program. The result of this study can be sturunarized as follows. The linear displacement according to the moving range of head did not show significant difference between in the target and in the perpendicular direction. This result indicated that the linear displacement towards the target direction was placed at the rear of the ball during the address and impact. These results indicates that all subjects of this study were doing golf swing in right way making the head an axis. There were no significant difference between the linear displacement of left shoulder joint in the address and impact and the linear displacement of left shoulder joint during impact, however the left hip joint of the linear displacement showed significant difference in the target direction. The shoulder angle showed during impact plus angle towards the target direction by average 9 degrees more than during the address. In addition to, left hip joint angle showed that the swing was being done as the posture which was opened average 18 degrees more during the impact the address. In spite of showing no significant difference in the left knee angle during the address and impact the right knee angle in the impact phase was smaller than in the address phase. There was significant difference in right elbow angle during the address and impact in order to accelerate the velocity of the club head with reducing the moment of inertia The cocking angle showed that the swing was done as during the impact cocking angle increased average 18 degrees more than during the address.
