The purpose of this study is to examine closely the relationship between teachers` sports activities and their perceived responsibilities and attitudes toward their job. I`ve examined the 366 teachers who are working in middle and high schools in Seoul now. To know about their attitudes toward their job, I`ve used the questionnaire which was once used by Byungsuk Kim (1991) and Kahyun Yang (1992). It is composed of categories such as job-satisfaction, system-immersion, and system-adaptation. And to measure their perceived responsibilities, I`ve used examination paper which was developed by Hackamn and Oldham (1980) and once used by Hyun Jin (1996). According to research questions there are analysis of covariance, Scheffe verification for ex post facto evidence, and multiple regression analysis in material analyses used. Conclusions from this study method and procedure are as follows: First, there are partial differences in teachers` perceived responsibilities toward their job according to the types of their participation in sports activities. They show higher responsibilities toward their job when they participate both in and outside their school at the same time than when they participate only outside of their school. Second, there are also partial differences in teachers` attitudes toward their job according to the types of their participation in sports activities. They show lower system-adaptation when they participate in their school than when they participate both in and outside of their school at the same time. And the degree of their job-satisfaction is shown to be lower when they participate in their school only than when they participate both in and outside of their school. And the whole attitude toward their job is revealed to be more positive when they participate in their school than when they participate both in and outside of their school. Third, teachers` perceived responsibilities for their job affect their job attitude partially. As their responsibility for their job is higher, they feel more positively in their job-satisfaction, system-immersion, system-adaptation, and in their whole consideration toward their job.
