The purpose of this study was to examine the variation of a development and relaxation electromechanical delay (EMD) of vastus lateralis and rectus femoris in healthy male through anaerobic isokinetic knee extension contraction. The results would be summarized as follows; 1. The development EMD values of vastus lateralis with isokinetic knee extension contraction was significant difference (p<0.05) according to training term Result of post-hoc, there were significant differences between pre-training and 16 week training. 2. The relaxation EMD values of vastus lateralis with isokinetic knee extension contraction was significant difference (p<0.01) according to training term. result of post-hoc, there were significant differences between pre-training and 8 week, 16 week training. 3. The development EMD values of rectus femoris with isokinetic knee extension contraction was significant difference (p<0.05) according to training term Result of post-hoc, there were significant differences between pre-training and 16 week training. 4. The relaxation EMD values of rectus femoris with isokinetic knee extension contraction was not significant difference. In conclusion, the development and relaxation EMD values of vastus lateralis and rectue femoris may be decrease through the isokinetic knee extenion of 16 week training term. It is suggested that long-term isokinetic training stimulate Ca++ and exitation-contraction coupling mechanism
