Mobile Application Stores (MAS) have become a new solution market which promises the development of a new revenue stream for operators, handset OEMs, and application developers. This study attempted to examine the influence of Subjective Norms on the usage of MAS. We validated the direct effect of Subjective Norms and examined the indirect effects of Subjective Norms through different components of Trust on MAS usage. To be explained, Trust was divided into Trust in operator (adopted from previous studies) and Trust in developer (newly proposed). An online questionnaire was conducted to collect 253 responses for empirical test. All the proposed hypotheses, except Trust in developer’s integrity and benevolence, were supported. Subjective Norms had a direct, positive impact on intention to use and indirect, positive impact on intention to use through trust’s components. This finding provides more understanding of the influence of Subjective Norms and Trust, which could be integrated into future MAS research.
