This study is an attempt to bring a well-known, but forgotten thing again in memory. The main statement: Verifying the authenticity of a text must be a condition of his analysis.
Therefore, this study attemps a text-critical analysis of the Collected Works of Korean Writers. 144 Collected Works of 87 writers were examined. The analysis were performed under two principles: 1) The principle of completeness; - and 2) the principle of objectivity.
All collected works are text critical, categorized according to the steps of the scholary edition as follows: 1) Historical-Critical Edition 2) Study Edition 3) Reading Edition. In addition, an attempt was made (using the example of the scholary edition) to analyse seven Collected Works of the lyric poet Yun dong-ju. In the same way two Collected Works of the prose writer Lee cheong-jun and two Collected Works of the lyric poet Kim Yeong-lang were analysed.
