So far, the teaching strategy of Spanish composition has not received much attention in the education of Spanish, and has not been able to provide a suitable method to Korean learners. Thus, this paper aims to propose a suitable method for teaching composition especially for Korean students learning Spanish. First, we will see some problems that most Korean learners experienced in a Spanish composition class. Second, we review four approaches for the teaching of composition: grammatical approach, functional approach, processual approach and content approach. It is clear that the four approaches are not exclusive but complementary. That is, any approach should contain grammar, text types, processes of composition and content. Moreover, it is essential that the choice of a methodological approach should depend on the needs and interests of learners, so that each course will vary individually in each class. Considering these situations, we propose a more well-mixed approach for Korean learners who begin learning Spanish in a college.
